RACE ENTRIES

All racers will need to complete entry forms and pay entry fees for all races including the BARSC, Welsh Championships, Schoolboys and Schoolgirls Races, British Land Senior, Junior and Children’s Championships and the English Alpine Championships, Interschools Races and the Scottish Championships. Entry forms can be downloaded from www.britski.org. If races are over subscribed the entry will close before the published closing date. Entry is based on a first come first served basis, but children with seed points will have priority, so the earlier you enter the better. Entry to BARSC usually closes in late October/early November. Entry to the British and English usually closes by end February/early March. Late entries are sometimes accepted at an extra cost. 

Please note the entry criteria for the British Championships are as follows:

Children - 400 BASS Points - Juniors - 350 BASS/FIS Points. There is not entry criteria for the Minis

To avoid unnecessary cost on entry fees, we strongly advise you to contact one of our trainers if you haven’t raced before. They will advise you on the appropriate race for the trainee’s level of skiing. If the trainers think the trainee is unsafe or not experienced enough to compete in a race, he will not allow the trainee to participate. The race organisers will ask our trainer/manager to confirm the suitability to race of any children who have not accumulated seeds points.

On the race entry form you will be asked to nominate a snow club and a artifical club. This means the clubs for which you wish to race on snow and in the artificial slope races. If you train with Kandahar, we ask you to nominate Kandahar Ski Club as your snow club unless you already represent another snow club. If you do not nominate Kandahar Ski Club, then your results will not count for Kandahar Ski Club in all the many team events associated with the various championships. If you do not belong to an artificial club, you can also put down Kandahar Ski Club.

MINIS: Children born in 2000 to 2003

CHILDREN 1: Children born in 1999 and 1998,

CHILDREN 2: Children born in 1997 and 1996

JUNIORS 1: Children born in 1995 and 1994,

JUNIORS 2: Children born in 1993, 1992, and 1991       

(Ages relate to the year of birth and runs from 1 Jan–31 Dec)
