Kandahar Racing’s October training programme takes place in Saas Fee, Switzerland one of Europe’s top autumn training locations where snow conditions remain fantastic throughout the year. Our management team will provide trainees with the highest standards of professional ski race coaching, fitness training and pastoral care from 19 October–02 November 2019.
The training programme will include technique, skills, drills, SL/GS/SG gate training and race simulation with electronic timing. We will also have an increased focus on Ski Cross training in the afternoons. Trainees will participate in a full fitness and activities programme every day and evenings will include ski prep, video analysis and classroom lessons on other aspects of ski racing and athletic development. The programme caters for young skiers brand new to competitive snowsports, through to experienced athletes with national team aspirations.
Jo Ryding will be the camp manager and the coaching team will be Sam Liddell, Dan Poth, Ash Breese, Kate Angus, TJ Baldwin, Eilidh McLeod, Mike Barker & Charlotte Gould. Naomi Sadler will be the pastoral lead for the duration of the camp.
To ensure that a progressive and structured training programme can be put in place, inlier trainees must commit to attending the full duration of the long camp (2 weeks), or either the first week or the second week. Outliers are welcome to train on just a daily basis but are strongly encouraged to attend the full duration of either the long camp or the first or second weeks.
