British ski Championships

Kandahar Racing will be attending the British National Championships over the period 23 March - 06 April 2024.  SL, GS, SG, and Combi races are available for U10 – U16 athletes.  Our management team will provide trainees with the highest standards of professional ski race coaching, race support, academic tutoring and pastoral care.

TRAINING & RACING

Our Easter programme caters for young skiers brand new to competitive snowsports, through to experienced athletes with national team aspirations.

BLOCK 1

23rd March transfer from UK to Tignes - outliers can arrive this day ready for training on 24th March.

BLOCK 2
Race support and training will be provided throughout this week for U10 - U16’s for the British National Championships. Training will be provided on any days in the programme that do not have a race in the schedule for athletes.

STAFF

This camp will be staffed by Oliver Wells, Dean Rawlings-Brown, Emma Spruce and Natasha Kingdon.

FORMAT

Those wishing to attend the camp as inliers must commit to full week blocks. Trainees attending block 1 as inliers are expected to remain for block 2 as inliers as well. Those attending as outliers are welcome to dip in and out of our programme for a daily training / race support fee of £95pppd.

ACCOMMODATION & COSTS

The outlier fee of £95pppd covers race support / training only.

All inliers will be accommodated in an apartment in Tignes. The inlier costs are inclusive of accommodation, full board catering, lift pass, activities, airport transfer and training fees. They do not include flights or equipment hire.

RACE ENTRIES

All racers taking part in the British National Championships must arrange and pay for their own race entries, this cannot be done centrally by Kandahar Racing. Race entries can be made online or by post closer to the time.

TRAVEL

Flights [TBC due to timing changes] to all airports near the Alps are expensive during Easter and can become fully booked very quickly, therefore we advise all parents to book flights for their children as soon as possible. The travel details that explain which flights to book will be sent out after booking.  Please do not book any flights until you have submitted your online booking and had your place on the camp confirmed. Make sure you have selected the correct airport as we have multiple options for this camp. If you are travelling on an accompanied flight for this camp, please complete the travel consent form which will be sent across.

BOOKINGS

Places on our British Champs programme are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis, so please book early to avoid disappointment. Upon receipt of online applications – acceptance confirmation, travel details and invoices (inc payment instructions) will be distributed. Bookings should be made online on this page by clicking the ‘Book Here’ button. If you are booking as an outlier, please indicate in the additional comments box which days your children will join us for training and/or race support. Alternative week configurations are available upon request, please email the manager for details.
