December Camp

Kandahar Racing’s December training programme has in the past taken place in Gol, Norway but we are looking forward to a fresh start in Avoriaz, France. Our management team will provide all trainees from 8 - 16 years old with the highest standards of professional ski race coaching, race support, fitness training and pastoral care over a 2 week period from 16 - 23th Dec 2023.

TRAINING

Training will include technique, skills, drills, SL/GS/SG gate training and race simulation with electronic timing.  Trainees will participate in a full fitness and activities programme and evenings will include ski prep, video analysis and classroom lessons on other aspects of ski racing and athletic development.  The programme caters for young skiers brand new to competitive snowsports, through to experienced athletes with national team aspirations.  It can be used as a training camp on it’s own or as an ideal preparation camp for the Races in Champéry in 2024.

STAFF

Camp Manager will be Tom Hudson, coaching team will be Cameron Skinner and Oliver Black.

FORMAT

To ensure that a progressive and structured training and racing programme can be put in place, trainees attending as inliers must commit to the full duration of the training block.  Outliers are free to dip in and out of our programme on a day by day basis as they please.

ACCOMMODATION & COSTS

All inliers will be accommodated in Hotel Capfun which is located between Morzine and the Prodain lift up to Avoriaz . The accomodation is a short distance from the lifts to the training area.  Inlier costs are inclusive of full board accommodation, lift pass, activities, airport transfer and training fees. They do not include flights or equipment hire.

Outlier costs cover training fees only.

Places on our December Camp are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis, so please book early to avoid disappointment. Bookings should be made online at the ‘Book Now’ tab.  Upon receipt of online applications – acceptance confirmation and invoices (inc payment instructions) will be distributed.
